Lunch will be eaten outside weather permitting. Our current planning is that camp programs for all ages will include both time spent indoors and outdoors. We are working with our facilities partners and have identified camp locations that would allow us to hold camp both indoors or entirely outdoors if needed. We will follow all CDC and Virginia Department of Health guidance and meet or exceed all recommendations. This summer, the health and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. July 26 – 30, 2021 – Dinosaurs and Unicorns – This session is currently sold out. With her monkey friend Boots, along with our classmates, we’ll learn about important character traits, such as courage, enthusiasm, honesty, patience, and perseverance. Come along with Dora to solve challenging puzzles and mysteries. July 19 – 23, 2021 – Where is Dora the Explorer? – This session is full. Who knows? We might even meet a “baby shark…doo…doo…doo…baby shark?” Your child’s creativity and curiosity will grow as they discover the vast underwater world. Let’s dive into the ocean and learn all about the unique creatures that live in the sea. Using common household items, students will design the perfect camping experience… without the bugs! Together as an ensemble, we will learn to appreciate everyone that we meet with the spirit of cooperation.
Pre-k students will use all five senses to explore on this imaginary camping adventure. June 28 – J– Let’s Go Camping! This session is full. Location: North Arlington (Church of the Covenant – 2666 N Military Rd, Arlington, VA 22207) Each day your child will go on an adventure using their imagination, discovering different musical sounds and movements from many countries and musical genres. Join Encore for a fun filled morning based on the popular kids show, The Backyardigans. June 21 – 25, 2021 – Fun with the Backyardigans – This session is full. All students and staff will undergo a temperature and symptom screening each morning before interacting with others. Students and Encore staff complete a health screening prior to camp.We use a daily checklist to ensure that all procedures are being followed. High touch surfaces (doorknobs, bathroom surfaces) and camp materials are sanitized before, during and after camp each day using EPA approved products.Frequent, specific breaks for hand washing with hand sanitizer available throughout the camp day.Students are provided with their own set of camp supplies, so that students are not sharing materials.Students and Encore staff wear masks during camp and staff works to maintain 6 feet distance and reduce physical contact between students.Students remain in the same small group throughout the camp program.Below are our some of the precautions we are taking for current in-person programs: We will implement current guidance in the weeks leading up to summer camp and communicate detailed procedures to parents in our welcome email prior to the start of your camp session. All camps will follow CDC, Virginia, and Arlington Department of Health guidance for health screenings, mask wearing, social distancing, and sanitation. The health and well-being of campers and staff is Encore’s top priority in summer 2021.
